D came in to the Studio one rainy morning, and the first thing she told me was that she was feeling bloated and hadn’t gone to the gym in two weeks. I think within minutes of us shooting, she started to understand that it didn’t matter how she thought she looked – what mattered was how she felt.
I think Boudoir photography has gotten a pretty bad rap for “sexualizing” women. That’s not what boudoir means to me. It means empowering women, it means throwing out all the messages that we are giving on a daily bases on how we should look. Because when I photograph a woman, I want her to feel, not worry about how she looks.
Because when you feel confident and strong on the inside, it shows on the outside. Regardless of whether or not you’ve been to the gym in two weeks.
Love you D!
