Julia reached out to me 4 years ago to photograph her wedding that was supposed to happen in 2020. Covid stopped weddings, and we know it stopped the world. But life went on as it does. Julia and Tobi decided to get married back in Germany, and they had two of the most beautiful children.
But they wanted this time documented. Julia shared that she felt although they were already married, they really wanted a moment in time to celebrate their love and the coming together of two families. This is life, you guys.
So they forged on, planning a wedding from afar, and came to Barbados and had the most beautiful day, even with the rain.
Tobi waited for Julia and when he saw her, you could just see their life in his eyes. With their kids watching, and then becoming a part of the ceremony as they exchanged rings with their daughter in Julia’s arms, they did it. They had their wedding, in front of the people they loved the most in the world.
This is what weddings are about. It’s about the beginning of your story, family, moments, laughs and tears. Unforgettable memories that will become more and more priceless as the years go by.
Julia and Tobi, I love you guys to my core. Thank you for your love, and for opening that up for me to photograph.
You are truly special souls.

Dancing is joy; justice is non-negotiable.
