I met Nikola about 2 years ago when she came in for a personal branding session.
Once I got on the phone with her, I felt a sense of peace and calm, which was soothing for a high-energy person like me.
We shared stories of things happening in our lives, some losses, some wins. I connected with Nikola on such a deep level, which continued beyond the photoshoot, and remain to this day.
A few months ago, reconnecting over email, Nikola let me know that she and her partner, Warren were going to have a quiet ceremony to officially join their lives together, a.k.a, they were getting married! But their story didn’t include a traditional wedding, I wouldn’t have expected anything else. True to their nature and themselves, Nikola and Warren, got quietly married at the courthouse one morning with just a few people around them.
I walked into her room and saw the dresses hanging up. In the middle was Nikolas. To the right was her mother’s wedding dress, and to the left was dress her grandmother married her grandfather in. Three generations of wedding dresses.
At their newly bought home, on a very wonderfully rainy day overlooking the fields, Nikola and Warren invited their closest family members and exchanged words of commitment, tears, and laughs.
This day touched me in so many ways, and it’s not hard to understand why. Nikola and Warren embody love, acceptance, mutual respect, peace, humility, thoughtfulness, resilience and literally everything good in humanity. I really mean this. When you are around them, you can’t help but feel uplifted, positive, tranquil and just happy. You want to be around them.
Thank you Nikola and Warren for inviting me in, over and over. For taking that breath and opening your eyes with a smile on your faces as you see each other. It’s the most wonderful thing to witness. Thank you for being open with me, for trusting me, and for teaching me so much, much more than you can imagine.
All my Love & Gratitude,

Dancing is joy; justice is non-negotiable.
