There was something about they way she saw the female body, not as a sexual object, but as art, that drew me in. The way she brought soul to her work, I HAD to attend one of her workshops – I mean, obviously.
When she announced the dates, my heart leaped out of my chest. You see, Kara Marie lives in Italy, so it’s not the easiest thing for me to arrange a trip there without the family. Logistics with 4 kids and a working husband ain’t for the faint of heart.
But the date for her latest workshop happened to be in the period when I was going to be in Italy anyway for our annual trip there.
BING. FREAKING. O. I guess the universe has my back!
Off to the workshop I went, myself and 11 other incredible women sat on a long table, at the AMAZING Cross Studios in Milan, writing in the beautifully KMStudios branded black notebook, and took it all in.
We learned about confidence and soul – two things that Kara Marie’s work exudes.
This workshop was the breath of fresh air that I needed. It was the shot of adrenaline that sparked excitement in me all over again. We need these.. all.. the.. time.
Thank you so much Kara Marie for sharing yourself, your work, your art with us. For guiding us, for teaching us how to stand a little taller, and how to be stronger in ourselves, so we can bring out the best in our clients.
Grazie Kara Marie….Grazie Mille.
Below you’ll see a few BTS taken by Kara Marie from the workshop. Work I created to follow.

MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
Tattoos are my timeline. I play tennis, read vehemently, and travel the world. Sensual, empathetic, ex-criminologist, pretty good Italian speaker. Slightly irreverent. Terrified of white lizards and frogs. Kids and elders are my storytellers.
Dancing is joy; justice is non-negotiable.
