Through Covid temperature checks, Covid tests delayed and canceled flights, Phoebe and Alex made it.
We all know it was virtually impossible to plan a wedding any time in 2020, and difficult to say the least, in 2021 but they made the impossible possible.
They decided that Covid wasn’t going to stop them from getting married so on an afternoon on the beautiful east coast of Barbados they said I do, with just their immediate family.
In these times when covid stopped thousands of weddings around the world from happening, Phoebe and Alex got to do it twice. Gathering at the beautiful theological school, Codrington College, on the east coast of Barbados with 100 of their closest family and friends, Phoebe and Alex had their wedding amongst laughs, tears, and love.
Through the most beautiful speeches, those who were no longer here with us were remembered, and stories were shared. The thread that was sewn throughout this day was that of love.
Alex kept looking at Phoebe, and Phoebe kept smiling at her husband. It was as though even though they were surrounded by love, happy faces, memories, and stories, they were still in their own space where it was just the two of them.
Thank you Phoebe and Alex – thank you so much for trusting me with this day.

Tattoos are my timeline. I play tennis, read vehemently, and travel the world. Sensual, empathetic, ex-criminologist, pretty good Italian speaker. Slightly irreverent. Terrified of white lizards and frogs. Kids and elders are my storytellers.
Dancing is joy; justice is non-negotiable.
