I first photographed this gem of a human being as a bride.
We kept up with each other on social media, always supporting one an other in ways that went beyond “photographer/client relationship.” She turned into a friend.
When I photographed her the second time, in my, then, brand new studio, and we created something that was so off the chain for both of us at that time, we had no clue it could get any better.
Then came round #3. If this isn’t a testament to “it just gets better and better”, I don’t know what is.
The day started off with the bleakest weather we’d ever seen in Barbados. Our 9AM session looked like a 9PM session. All our overhead lights came on, and I knew that the session would end up being, “moody”.
Before we started the day, she talked to me about her journey with herself, her body, her emotions, everything, and how she wanted this photo shoot to reflect back what she was going through, and how far she’d come.
You see, during our sessions, this is exactly what I do. I show you what you’re feeling. Sounds strange right? I feed off of the energy in the space. Sometimes it’s loud, high energy, and other times it’s a quiet energy, soft, and peaceful.
It was almost eerie how the day completely matched what was happening inside the studio. It was beautifully still, quiet, peaceful and overcast, and this is how we photographed Ms. M.
We aren’t looking to photograph a different version of yourself. We’re photographing YOU, and ALL the wonderful sides of you.
You. Are. Beautiful.

MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
Tattoos are my timeline. I play tennis, read vehemently, and travel the world. Sensual, empathetic, ex-criminologist, pretty good Italian speaker. Slightly irreverent. Terrified of white lizards and frogs. Kids and elders are my storytellers.
Dancing is joy; justice is non-negotiable.
