Boudoir Session Client Feature

As we walked up the stairs into the studio on his birthday morning, Chris and I laughed, the way we always do when we meet. I wasn’t prepared for the ignition of fire that was about to happen that day, and how profoundly Chris changed this little space.

Chris let me know that this boudoir session was part of a therapeutic process on his journey of self-acceptance as he worked through body image issues.

Chris let me play, as much as I let him do the same. He let me choose some outfits for him, and he just went with the flow. I absolutely love when my clients come with an empty slate and we do things off the fly. This is what this session was all about.

As much as Chris let me play, for most of the session, I did not direct him at all, as he moved, and flowed around the studio like an elegant swan. It was as though he was moving through water in the most elegant of ways.

There were times when I stopped photographing him and simply watched. Chris prepared so well for this session, he had playlists for different dances. This was gold. As the violins played, and his hands and legs swayed to the music of Phantom of the Opera, all I can say, is how moving it was.

Chris changed the space. He shifted the energy inside this studio, heck, he even gave me design tips that literally DID change the space.

Thank you, Chris. Thank you so much. I know you see the beautiful soul that you are in these photographs.

Aniya, xo
