Natalie and Leonid: A Barbados Villa Wedding

When Natalie first reached out to me, she told me that the most important thing for her was that she wanted to remember how it felt to be there. I let her know, that this was exactly how I photographed weddings – so that my clients could feel the joy, experience the day over and over through the photographs.

Leonid’s family came all the way from Israel, and Natalie’s sister flew in from Paris. Friends from Russia, Italy, France, and of course, Barbados. It was a true fusion of cultures, and although there were different languages spoken from many places, the one common thing they all shared, was their love for Leonid and Natalie.

Sixty people nestled in the backyard of her mom‘s home for the intimate ceremony. When Natalie walked down the stairs, stairs that she had walked down thousands of times before, but this time accompanied by her mom and sister, Leonid saw her for the first time, and I could see his heart sinking at the sight of her. I think everybody’s heart melted a little bit. They couldn’t take their eyes off of each other. It was as though Leonid relied on Natalie and Natalie found her comfort in him. There was almost an air of relief when they were close to one another.

Throughout the day, they kept finding each other. During the portraits, the speeches, and the first dance, it was as though there was a magnetic field between them. It was so beautiful to see.

Natalie and Leonid, I’ve never seen such a calm, serene, loving energy as I did with you. Thank you so much for having me be a part of this day, it was truly some kind of wonderful.

Aniya, xo
