FAMILY

If you want that photographed, you're in the right place

Perfect isn’t the goal.

Presence is.

Let them be loud.
Let them be little.
Let them be exactly who they are.

That’s where the magic is.

INQUIRE

Fill out the contact form and share the details — the more the better.  I’ll be in touch within 24 hours with my Pricing Guide and a link to book your date.

BOOK YOUR DATE

Let's lock it in! I'll send the contract + invoice. Once both are in, I'll send the questionnaire your way, and we'll start planning.

PLAN, PLAN, PLAN

I leave nothing to chance. We'll lock in outfits, locations, and items to bring to the session. You'll be fully guided every step of the way.

MY PROCESS

Once you've booked your date and time, it's yours!

Everything in my process is designed so you always know what’s coming next and feel completely taken care of.

01

Pre Session Planning

I photograph families in a very documentary way. Meaning, I let the kids lead, and I follow. After all, they bring the magic. Having said that, we'll lock in outfits, location, and timing. Your session will happen at either sunrise or sunset, and depending on what kind of vibe you're loving, home, beach, green or something else, I'll guide you to the best places with gorgeous light, contrast, and personality that really speaks to the moodiness I create in my work.

02

Your questionnaire

Heads up, ya'll. It’s a little intense. But there’s method to the madness. It helps me really understand your family, the dynamics, your priorities, and how to create the best possible experience and photos for you.

03

Session Day: It's go time.

I'll be at our meeting spot waiting for you with a huge smile and open arms. I always account for about 10 minutes before we start our session to give you another rundown of how it will go, and you get to take it all in for a minute.

I'll use this time to chat with the kids and play with them so they're a bit more comfy with me.

04

Your Full Gallery Delivery

Within 2 weeks of your session, your full gallery will be ready. After the session, I’ll send you your official “no-later-than” delivery date so you never have to wonder when the photos will arrive. I’ll also include a quick video showing how to order albums and prints straight from your gallery.

Aniya was a dream to work with! We wanted family photos done and Aniya made the experience fun and effortless.

She has an eye for capturing in-the-moment shots. We can't wait to have these printed and framed on our walls, cherishing this time and these moments together.

We can’t thank Aniya enough!

Absolutely. Outfits are a big part of how your photos turn out, so I give them serious attention. Forget the “all-white” cliché—think elevated, minimal, and monochrome palettes that complement each other without stealing the spotlight. I’ll send you a detailed style guide and help you narrow down options that feel effortless and timeless.

Can you help us with what to wear?

In 15 years of photographing families, I’ve learned something important:
Kids don’t “not cooperate.” They just don’t want to perform. And honestly? I don’t want them to. This isn’t about standing straight, folding hands, and smiling on command. Once you let go of the idea that everyone needs to behave perfectly, something shifts. They run. They cling to you. They giggle. They sulk. They twirl. They are fully themselves. And that’s the gold. We rarely need to reschedule. We just need to let them be little.

What if my kid doesn’t cooperate? Can we reschedule?

Once you know you’d like me to photograph you, I recommend securing your date. Bookings are confirmed with a signed agreement and the session fee paid in full. I travel throughout the year, so if you are looking for a Barbados session, book early. I also have sessions around the world. If you happen to be in any of the cities I'm in, we can book a session there as well. See travel dates below.

When should we book you?

FAMILY SESSION FAQ'S

Moody skies, wind, or clouds? Bring it on. Some of the most romantic, epic photos happen in “less-than-perfect” weather. The only exception is extreme conditions—think Category 5 hurricane levels. Otherwise, we shoot rain, wind, or fog, and the results are stunningly unique.

What if the weather isn’t great? Can we reschedule?

Absolutely. Black and white is my medium of choice because it strips everything back to emotion. Your gallery will be a mix of both color and the timelessness of black and white.

I notice you do a lot of black and white photos. Can I have color options as well?

Absolutely! Pets are family too, and I love capturing their personalities alongside yours. Just give me a heads-up so we can plan accordingly.

Can we include our pets in the session?

Heck yes. I love coming to the place you call home. Kids are naturally more relaxed there. You already have rhythms there. Inside jokes live there. So do the quiet moments.
And years from now?  Your home, and everything in it, will mean more to you than you realize Your home is part of your story.

Can you photograph us at our home?

Your full gallery will be ready in two weeks (unless otherwise stated). I want to deliver a collection of photos you’ll genuinely love, so I take the time to edit each image thoughtfully.

When will we see our photos?

Yes! If there’s something meaningful to your family—flowers, picnic setups, guitars, surfboards—bring it. Props can add personality and context to your photos, making them truly unique to you.

Can we bring meaningful items?

Can we do activities outside the house?

Yes, and I highly encourage it. We can go anywhere meaningful to your family — the beach, tennis courts, a café, the movies, or a favorite walking trail. Movement creates magic. When you’re doing something together, the connection is natural. I’ll guide you on timing so we get the most beautiful light and the least amount of stress.

What if I feel overwhelmed the day of the session?

That’s normal. You’re carrying snacks, outfits, emotions, and expectations. My job is to carry the rest. Once the session starts, you get to exhale. You don’t need to manage everyone. You just need to be present. I’ve got you.

What if my kids fight the whole time?

That’s normal. They might. And sometimes the photo of you pulling them into one giant, laughing hug after they’ve argued is the one you’ll frame. Real families aren’t calm all the time. They’re connected.

Should I encourage my kids to smile at the camera?

Nope! The best photos happen when they forget the camera exists. Just let them be themselves — the laughs, hugs, and little moments will do the rest.

I'm so ready to photograph you guys, and have some fun together, are you?

HECK YES!
