Let The Party Start: Barbados Wedding

Kiara and Kai made it pretty freaking clear from the very beginning that all they wanted to do was party for their wedding. They wanted the purest of documentary photography there could be (apart from the portraits of course!)

Now these are my kinda people

I thought maybe once we got closer to the date, more “traditional” things may have made their way in to the timeline, but NOPE! Kai and Kiara were steadfast – it was getting ready, ceremony, party (basically!) Guys, how cool is this?

If seeing their day didn’t drive it home, let me put it into words. You do NOT have to be traditional. There is no rule book saying you HAVE TO HAVE A CAKE. Nothing carved in stone saying “you need to do a first dance”. If you want all the bells and whistles, amazing! Go for it.

But believe me when I say, this is YOUR day. You can ditch everything and just do whatever the hell you want.

And Kiara and Kai did just that.
