During our wedding planning meeting, Amelia let me in on a little secret. She said “Hey Aniya – once they announce the bouquet toss, I’m going to pretend to throw it but I’m not. I’m going to walk the bouquet to my cousin’s girlfriend, because he’s going to propose to her, right then and there.”
Screetttcchhh —— omg, what!? oh heelllllssss yes!!
And so said, so done. When it was time to announce the bouquet toss, Amelia walked over to a totally unexpected Jade. She didn’t know what was about to happen. Nick was on his knee with a ring, and it was the sweetest moment in wedding history!
It was a collective wave of love, everyone congratulated them, hugged them, cried tears of joy, it was epic.
And then came their wedding.
There are no words I have to describe this. No sentiments that can accurately say how emotional I felt being there for their proposal, and now, photographing their wedding. It was a complete honor!
This day was about love, in it’s purest form. We celebrated everyone who could be there, and remembered those in our lives who were not, but looking down. They were there.
Jade and Nick laughed, they danced, they completely loved on each other, and it was a day where happiness ruled.
Thank you, you two beautiful people, for making me one of the luckiest people alive to document the beginning of your family history.
Love you both,
