I’m the wedding photographer for those who value memories over poses…
How do you want to FEEL, in 30 years, when you are sitting together on your porch, and you look through your Wedding Album together?
This is all that’s going to matter.

How I photograph your day
My perspective of your day is that I am merely a witness to what’s happening. You have handpicked the most important people in your lives to celebrate with you, and there’s a story between each of them and you. I know this is going to sound incredibly bizarre, because, after all, you are here looking for a WEDDING photographer – but this day isn’t just about your wedding. It’s about all those stories, all those moments, all those memories with the most important people who can and those who cannot be there with you. Even if you’ve decided to Elope, it’s all about the joy, the emotion, the laughs, the tears, the jokes, both good and bad, the tales told – I’m here for it ALL, and I photograph it all.

I Tell Your Story…
The real one
First of all, part of my style directly correlates with who I am. I am a 100% judgment-free zone. With me you are in a safe space to talk, dance, shout, laugh, and cry and BE who you are. I love it all. You’ll see that I’m always with you. So many couples want to steal a moment away from the day, and you’ve guessed it, I’m going to be tagging along to create photographs – this IS part of your story.

I’m not a fly on the wall. Let’s talk about Communication.
As you can see from these words, and if you’ve met me, you know I’m a talker. I LOVE to get to know people, hear their stories and chat about any and everything we have in common. My clients and I do A TON of communicating and there’s a reason for this. I want to get to really know you. I’m not trying to get up in your family biz.. I’m simply getting to know you both, your relationships with your friends and family, so I can make honest and authentic images for you. On your wedding day, this is no different. Communication is the best way to bring down walls with people, and as a photographer, my camera acts as one, big, massive wall. When your guests see me, I don’t want them to either turn their back to me, or put on that really uncomfortable smile and do something silly for me. I want to photograph everyone you’ve invited authentically.

It’s All About Trust and Access, Baby
In order for me to document your wedding in the most genuine way, we have to trust each other. This is THE only way. You will never hear me say “Can I come in?” or, “is it ok if I ___ insert whatever here!” or “Oh! Can you do that again?” NOOO.. By hiring me, I know you want honest photos of your day. And to get these, I need REAL trust and even more, I need access – access to places, and access to people. What do I mean by access to people? Firstly, I’m not running away from emotion – and guys, believe me, your day will be FULL of emotion. Sometimes memories can bring on tears, and when that happens, I get very close. In the words of the great photographer Capa, “if the picture isn’t good enough, you aren’t close enough”. I interpret this to mean physically and emotionally. These are the images that make you FEEL. Once you trust that I’m going to make great photos for you, and you give me the access to do so, we’re golden.

Wedding Photography Editing Style
Have you ever looked at a photo and said “gosh, that’s so (insert year). You know these trends! Oranges have been exaggerated, greens were desaturated, and yes, skies have been added.
This is precisely what I don’t want for your wedding memories.
I edit your photos in a very classic, timeless tone, making sure the colors are true to life – an honest representation of how your day looked. And this is how I photograph your day.
Black and White, or Color?
If you look at my portfolio, you’ll notice I show a lot of black and white photos. I adore black and white images, but your gallery won’t be delivered in all black and white. In fact, most of your images will be color toned. I reserve black and white conversions for the images that were specifically photographed with a black and white end result, and out of a gallery of hundreds of images, black and white work will be on about 30-40% of your final images.

What I want you to remember,
is this
We all want to be beautiful on our day, heck, every day. I get it! But if you’re worried that laughing hard is too much, and so you’ll hold back, don’t – laughter is contagious, and your big bold laugh is gorgeous – let it shine.. If you’re scared that your tears of joy when you see your spouse will ruin your “look” so don’t let your emotion out, stop right there. Your partner has seen you at every stage, believe me, you are the most beautiful person to them, so let those tears flow. If you think you’ll be mad if it rains because it ruined your day, rather than laughing at the pure irony of it all, knowing that the most important thing, marrying your best friend will happen regardless of whether or not it rains, don’t. It’s your story, and hey, rain they say, is a blessing.

I’m your Girl if…
➵ You value moments over things, you’re in the right place.
➵ You’re cool with me hanging out with you in the bathroom while your friends help you with your wedding day attire.
➵ You’re ok with me being up in your grill while you’re belly laughing with your besties (just thinking about this makes you happy!)
➵ You you prefer to see real life moments photographed beautifully, and don’t want your wedding day to be a fashion shoot.

“Wedding photographs are not for you.
They’re for people who aren’t here yet.”
